Danica Patrick will not and should not move to NASCAR next season for the reason that she simply has not proved herself as a driver. Make no mistake, I mean not to take anything from her abilities, but let's be real: she hasn't gotten to the top of the class in the Indy Series; NASACR racing is much more demanding than the type of racing she is accustomed to. I believe she should stay with Indy for a few years, get a couple wins under her belt, and then maybe give the Busch series an attempt. Then again , politics may take over and bring her in to NASCAR for publicity reasons, though the sport certainly does not need the help. If this occurs it will be wrong because too many drivers bust their *** week after week in Busch, Craftsman, and the Whelen, killing themselves in hopes of making it to the Nextel circuit. If she is brought into Nextel because of her name will be a big disappointment.

I doubt it. Danica is finally figuring the setup out that she needs in the IRL to go fast. I dont think she would jeopardize her career and try to make a jump to a brand new style of car that she isnt use to driving. Andretti Green has provided her with some amazing equipment so it is up to her now.Look for Danica to win in 2008 and maybe contend for the IRL title in 09. She has the tools she just needs to be more consistent.

as a promotional move, it's great for NASCAR and whoever gives her a ride. But for Danica, she can't win in an IRL car, she'll never win in a cup car. These cars don't ride on rails like the open wheel cars, and the races are a lot longer. the beating her body will take will be to much for her. STAY IN THE I.R.L.

Good Stuff exactly what Nascar needs, another no talent hack driving in circles. Danica should retire from racing, she is a disgrace to every other driver on the track.

Not that I have heard. I wish that she would because she would show them just like she has the IRL, that pretty girls can race also. When we watch her race(my husband and I), we always cheer for her. She has a lot of talent, and even I am one to admit, (I am happily heterosexual), that she is a beautiful woman. In the past the women in NASCAR, have been somewhat "plain" to put it nicely. It is just nice to see a beautiful woman that shows some actual talent and brains. We beautiful women are often misunderstood because of the "bunnies".

I have not heard anything about it but it would be interesting. If she completes a season at least 20th in points or up and stays out of wrecks it would give a new face to Nascar.

I sure hope NOT. She is mediocre to average in the IRL, and that's with very good equipment. She's better than Milka but not much better than Sarah Fischer in equal cars. NASCAR doesn't need any more field fillers or gimmicks and is getting enough real talent from open wheel racing to last awhile. She hasn't even won a race yet and her best finish ever (2nd) was because 2 cars ahead of her crashed on the final lap.

I doubt she'd make the move. And the weight advantage wouldn't exist in NASCAR. She does have a slight advantage because the IRL weighs cars without the driver, while NASCAR includes driver weight in the weight of the car.

It would be interesting to see, but I can't imagine her leaving IRL after this short of a time. She probably has a few goals that she'd like to accomplish over in the IRL before making any decisions about switching to a different racing league.

She said one time she was not interested in Nascar, she still hasn't gotten her first win in IRL yet, she needs to stay there for a while longer, make a real name for herself, she still wants to be the first woman to win the Indy 500..
