It is definitely possible. A loved dog is going to have better care and less stress which could definitely contribute to a longer life.

A dog that is abandoned/abused is not being taken care of and it's basic health needs are not being met. Let alone the love and affection makes for a happy/healthier dog. Yes, defiantly loving your dog helps them to live longer.

I truly believe this. For all animals. They can become depressed just like us. Because of the love you give your pets, their healthier and happier. We once saw a bird at a pet store that appeared to be dying, the employees said it was old and walked away. They didn't care. We took it home and loved it like crazy. Gave us many years of happiness.
