If you have longer hair, I would go with it up, men like to see a woman's neck for some reason. I would go with a twist, so take your hair into your hand like you would if you are wearing a pony-tail..twist it, then put it up the back toward the top of your head, and run a chop-stick like hair instrument through it. This is elegant and wacky at the same time.
