you get a cold from getting the virus that causes colds. being in the rain won't give you a cold, but can lower your resistance to the germs around you.

You really don't catch a cold from the weather, a cold is a virus and you get it through germs either in the air, or on doorknobs, etc.... by not washing our hands and touching things that other people have touched....that is how germs are spread and colds passed on...

No you can not catch a cold ,you coud be out on below freezing weather and not catch a cold .Acold is a virus,you would have a better chance catchinga cold in a hospitable.
