Oh yeah, this is for a generation 1 Glock model 21. I am looking for something for home defense. I do not want cheap crappy rounds, 'cause they are not accurate enough, but I am open to learning about any new rounds that others may suggest. Thank you.

For home defense why are you worried about accuracy as the distance you are shooting would not be affected by wind or whatever? In point of fact, for home defense you are better off with a 12 gauge pump and 5 shot so you don't spray your neighbor's house with hot lead; nor do you have to worry much about accuracy and putting six or ten rounds into a bullseye. To buy ammo use google; outdoor marksman, ammoman aka discount distributors, cheaper than dirt, J&G, sportsmans guide, aim, samco, sarco, cia, sog, yada.

Need to know where you live, laws vary by state and municipality.
For most of the US, you can order ammo online and have it delivered. Adult Signature required and most places will want an ID and legal statement faxed to them.
Just do a Yahoo search for "Ammo"
Some I use are:
Sportsman's Guide
Cheaper than Dirt
For defense, I like Federal Hydra Shok and have used it for years. There are other good defense rounds out there and many are good. You will need to see what feeds best in your gun, so plan on a shoot-off and shoot a hunderd rounds or so of various brands and write down your results.
There is nothing wrong with cheap FMJ ball ammo for your .45 for practice. I find some of it is more accurate than hollow point defense ammo.

Try the link below.
I have never personally ordered from them, but a friend has. They will sell anyone Winchester Ranger-T ammunition. The 230 grain +P is what I use, they sell if for about $25/box of 50 plus shipping. Don't know what the shipping charges are, and I just checked and they are currently out of stock. My friend says they are very helpful when you ask a question and has recommended that I order from them. The price is right. Anyway, the Winchester Ranger-T is restricted to Law Enforcement by Winchester. There may be local restrictions, but there is certainly no national restriction and many dealers will sell to anyone. I have been advised that Winchester tends to quit supplying those dealers who don't restrict the Ranger-T, so you may have to hunt for it.

Check out Corbon .45 ACP JHP ammunition for self-defense. Many of the retailers listed sell it online. Expensive, but an excellent defense round none the less, and well worth the price.

I don't know if it's the cheapest but I buy from midwayusa.com.
I use Federal 230 grain Hydrashok JHP and 185 grain Remington Golden Saber JHP. I haven't shot them yet, but the Cor-Bon 45 ACP +P 230 JHP look pretty good too. For Practice, I use Remington and/or Federal 230gr FMJ and Remington 185gr FMJ.

ammoman.com. Shipping included in the stated price. Good deal, since ammunition is heavy.
Any of the name brands are fine. Most manufacturers have an economy line; one of the best of these is Federal American Eagle. Don't dismiss foreign manufacturers, either. S & B (Czech) and Fiocchi (Italian) are pretty good.
Added: Stay away from Wolf with the steel case.
UMC is Remington's economy brand. It's not real good in my experience.

Truthfully, you might check Cabela's and Basspro. They have Sellor and Belloit and at a pretty reasonable price. $12.99/50
They have UMC for $189/600 rounds
Cabelas does have WOLF (which for having "ammo" on hand is the cheapest.) they have a pretty corrosive powder you'll definitely want to clean up after firing.
$114.99/450 rounds.

I've bought Ammo from SportsmanGuide as well.
