OK before you start, I called my mom at work and she's making an appointment at the vet, hopefully they'll tell us to bring her on today.

But for the past few days, her stool which was firm and had shape suddenly was becoming soft and runny globs. The bright brown color. Well today I was in my bedroom where her litterbox is and everything and I heard her playing around in the bathtub. I don't know why I got suspicious, I had no reason to...but I went and looked and omg I thought I was going to be sick. There was runny poo in one corner, a drying large puddle on the other end...splatters on the walls, and footprints inbetween. Apparently she was playing in it I dunno...but anyway I somehow managed to de-poo the tub with meangreen and lysol but I noticed there was watery blood in the pile. A light red, almost unseeable (you might think it was just pooey water) but it was clearly a pink red.

What could be wrong? She gets fed Purina Kitten Chow btw and she's probably...3-4 months old.

no, no cows milk. Our grocery store at the time only had meow mix kitten and purina kitten chow, the purina was the better deal. But I don't think I was going to continue feeding it to her anyway cause it makes her poo smell awful. At first we gave her meowmix kitten and it didn't smell that bad when she ate that.

But the vet doesn't have any appointments but they have sitting/walk ins from 2 to 4 so me and my mom are going to take her then and hope she can get in.

I got her from the humane society a couple of weeks ago and they said her health was good. My mom is like, wouldn't it just be great if we happened to get the one who needed lifetime medication or expensive surgery. I hope not though....

First of all, thanks for getting your mom to make an appointment with the vet. It's good that you aren't waiting to see what further developments take place before having her see a vet.

Purina Kitten Chow is a poor grade of cat/kitten food. Your kitty needs animal protein, which is found in canned food. Also, be sure that the canned food does not contain rice, wheat, wheat gluten, soy products or corn/corn products. Most cats are allergic to these foods, and they can cause a cat to have digestive problems.

I do hope you will be able to bring your cat to the vet today. This situation does not sound good at all.

Good luck.

When the blood is bright like this and dseparate from the stools, it is a good sign (as good as it can be, because blood is always a bad sign, but I mean in this form it usually is not cancer, and since the kitty is young, I would eliminate this possibility).
Don't worry too much, kittens do get a bad case of diarrhea and gastrointestinal problems at some point, but you should worry enough to take her to the vet and deal with the problem.
I would suggest de-worming, a diet of boiled chicken and rice for a week, Flagyl syrup (ask your vet about it and dosage), and blood tests if the problem is combined with vomit, anorexia or fever.

Has she been tested for parasites? If not, you may want her tested for them. That could cause some diarrhea. The bloody mucous could be just that her rectum is a bit irrritated and it's bleeding a little. She may get some medication to help stop the diarrhea.

It could be anything. The doctor will start by eliminating what it is and what it isn't by asking questions, maybe withholding food for a day to see if the diarrhea doesn't ease up. It could be just something didn't sit well with her and it's causing her to have diarrhea. Getting her seen is the best thing for her.
