Wood and solar are renewable, so the carbon footprint is zero; but solar does not depend on wood regrowing somewhere.

Electric could be coal, hydro, nuclear, or other fossil; but some utilities let you pay more to get renewable.

Oil, gas, and kerosene are fossil; and will have a carbon footprint that will depend on the size of the house, how well it is insulated, etc.
