its a painting of a man and a woman and they're on their balcony and the eiffel tower is in the backround. Its a newer painting but i dont know who the artist is so im not sure how to find it. I saw it in a store once and fell in love with it, but now the store is shut down and i have no way of finding out what the store was called. I tried searching on google images and yahoo images but i cant find it because if i make my search too specific then the computer wont find anything. But if i make my search less specific then the computer will pull up a million paintings and none of them will be the one im looking for. What should i do?

If the painting was in a store window and not a major gallery it is most likely not by a famous artist and not on the internet, or if it is on the internet it is most likely simply on the artist's own webpage and probobly not going to rank very high on the millions of listings you would pull up from a google search of eiffel tower painting. I would say your best bet is to track down that store. Find who the landlord of the building is, find out who owned that store, call them up. If you want to try to do it through the internet I would search for the store name. Try and find a list of artists that they represented or an email or a phone number of the owner or manager.

Good luck.

ask someone who may have also seen the painting when it was in the shop.
failing this, sketch it from memory and ask someone who might recognise it.
hope you find it.
