...no matter what wrongs you do in life that it's okay so long as you ask for forgiveness would that allow you to do more things wrong? Would it be a free pass so long as you say you're sorry?

It is worse than that, it gives people the feeling of justification to use sin (such as murder) as an excuse to punish other's for their sins, because God will forgive them.

Religion is an insult to human dignity. Without it you have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. Only with it will you have good people doing evil things.

I'm not sure if you can be genuine in asking for forgiveness if you are just looking for a free pass. Your heart must be truly sorry...words are only words.

A child looks at things by wondering what they can get away with. A mature adult desires to live uprightly and looks to do what is right rather than testing the limits of poor behavior.

There is an official answer to this per the Southern Baptist Convention.

It does not work. Not because the loophole isnt there, but because the person who would do this is obviously not saved and thus cannot ask for forgiveness.

Works the same as the probem in predestination-can do whatever if youre preordained to go to Heaven- but that ignores that if you do bad stuff youre obviously preordained for hell.
____

Ever been to court to argue on a loophole? Even if you win its rarely worth the aftermath. What makes these people think that their supposedly omniscient God is going to be ok with them exploiting his loophole?

It's not a free pass, to knowingly keep committing the same sin after asking for forgiveness proves you're not sincere. Forgiveness is a given, as long as you're sincere in asking for it. Sincerity would been asking for forgiveness and to stop committing that sin.

unfortunately thats how it was to some - well and still is today.

Its one thing to say youre sorry, but to mean it is something entirely different
The ones who ask for forgiveness but do not regret their actions only fool themselves, they may have confessed their sin to someone, but going on as allways and doing wrongs again and again is stupid, specially if one thinks:
itll be ok if i say sorry

To be honest i used to think like that, about 9 years ago, when i was 6 or something.. (i guess everyone thinks that at that age, isnt it?)

Long story short: acting like that is childish ot the extremely

in reality you usually pay for the things that you have done wrong. If you could get away with anything by saying sorry, the jails wouldnt be overcrowded. I usually take sorry and throw it out the window until I see some real changes in someone.

That is the very thing a lot of people get confused about. When judgment comes, the Lord will already know what is in our heart. HE will know if we are truly asking for forgiveness or if we are just saying it and not being sincere about it. Once you are forgiven, why would you want to sin again and anger God? HE will already know before hand when you do such acts and if you are doing them intentionally. That is the key part... HE knows if we intentionally committed a sin or unintentionally committed the sin. We all have free will, so will you continue to do wrong or will you start doing what is righteous? The choice is yours. -God Bless.

Proverbs 14:9
Fools mock at making amends for sin, but goodwill is found among the upright.

Proverbs 16:6
Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the LORD a man avoids evil.

Ecclesiastes 5:6
Do not let your mouth lead you into sin. And do not protest to the temple messenger, "My vow was a mistake." Why should God be angry at what you say and destroy the work of your hands?

Exodus 20:20
Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning."

Exodus 23:21
Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him.

Exodus 32:33
The LORD replied to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book.

Exodus 32:34
Now go, lead the people to the place I spoke of, and my angel will go before you. However, when the time comes for me to punish, I will punish them for their sin."

Exodus 34:7
maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation."

The Children of the Devil
42Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me. 43Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. 44You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! 46Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me? 47He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God."

The answer is no.
There are 2 types of wrongdoers:
Those that do wrong and don't care.
They'd do it all again, even knowing its wrong.
And those who were ignorant, learn from their wrongdoing and correct themselves.
God can deal with the latter.
He doesn't want to know the former.

IF YOU KEEP DOING THE SAME WRONG THING THEN YOU ARE NOT TRULY SORRY. TO REPENT OF A BAD DEED , IS TO NOT ONLY KNOW IT WAS WRONG , BUT ASK FOR FORGIVENESS AND QUIT DOING IT . SOME THINGS ARE HARD TO BRAKE FROM, PRAY FOR HELP IN YOUR WEAK AREAS

No. The idea is to consider yourself dead to the wrong and alive to what's right. In Christianity, it's dead to sin, alive in Christ. God has offered us a new way, a new life to respond to, so why would one continue in the life that leads to death? It's deceptive and self destructive to think that you can have a pass.
