We are in the great tribulation.
However, the character of the great tribulation is not one of physical violence; but rather of spiritual unfaithfulness in the churches and congregations of the world towards the Word of God. It is characterized by a widespread emphasis on signs and wonders. The churches of our day (all denominations: whether Catholic or Protestant) have fallen away tremendously from the truths of the Bible:
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (Matthew 24:21,24)
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; (2 Thessalonians 2:3)
Whenever some particularly evil leader arises, people immediately think he is the man of sin or antichrist; but the man of sin spoken of in the Bible is not a man at all, but rather, he is Satan himself. Satan alone qualifies since he is the only one who could have been present nearly 2000 years ago; and yet, come against the people of God near the end of the world:
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. (1 John 4:3)
The Bible teaches that at the end of the world all the wicked will come under eternal punishment in a place called Hell, and this time may be very near. There is much Biblical evidence that points to the fall of 2011 as the end of the world.

You forgot these important verses.
"He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;" Mark16:16
"And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord." Acts 10:48
"For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. " Galatians 3:27
And most importantly...
"The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:" 1 Peter 3:21
Even if we are living "in the last days", if you are not baptized, you are not saved.

No it doesn't. It tells us plainly that no-one will know the time. Still, there have been some in every generation since the Apostles who were sure they were living in the end times. So far no-one has been right. Unless of course the end times are more than 2,000 years in length. Which still means no-one can possibly know the time.

I can see you are new here. Let me introduce you to the "Search for questions" bar at the top of the page. By all means post the same proselytising that gets pointlessly posted many times a day, but it would be more beneficial to ask questions, preferably new and insightful ones.

For "TG": Baptism does not assure Salvation, dear one. Only accepting Christ as your Savior brings Salvation.
Remember the thief on the cross whom Jesus said, "today you will be with Me in paradise"? The thief wasn't baptized, was he.
I rest my case.

Thanks Rodney. The only thing is I feel that "rapture" sounds a bit archaic. I think maybe saying being "beamed up" would make more sense to some folks.

"And on a day that ends in "Y," a thing will happen. And when that day comes, and that thing happens, you will know that more stuff is to come."
I rock at prophecy too, and I don't even need to eat peyote first.
