Did you check out auctionarms.com? Thats a great site. I've bought and sold from there. Also, you do live in Texas - can't you just walk outside your front door and ask the closest person? Surely they want it? They may even have something cool to trade you, right?

First, I have met rude people in many places, and San Antonio has no more rude people than any other city, and certainly less than in some of the other major cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York. By the same token, I have found that people normally respond to the way you act towards them. Maybe everyone is rude towards Lando, because he is rude to them. The city is nice, It has good and bad areas. There is plenty to do, including local festivals virtually every weekend. Though the city is a family-oriented place, and it can take some time to develop the network of friends and family which makes it more enjoyable. It is not an ideal city, in my opinion for a person to come, with no pre arranged job, or specific job skill. But I don't know many cities at this time in the country that have growing employment like San Antonio, most have increasing unemployment. I have also found that many people who have difficulty finding positions in this city are either resistent to actually working, or cause problems and are let go from places of employment. I do know that there are many jobs available, for those who want a job.

Take an ad in the Express-News Classifieds.
Do some research to determine how much to ASK and how much to SELL for.
Tell all potential buyers on the phone that you would like to have a valid TX ID and a quick Bill of Sale. Legitimate buyers won't mind, and criminals will hang up, etc.
Post another question here with all details of your firearm except serial number, brand, caliber, finish, model numbers, size, etc and detailed condition (not just "good condition") and you will get some educated value estimates.
If you want to sell it without the hassle, expect to get 50% to 60% of the value from a gun dealer.

The best place to sell any weapon is a gun store, find a reputable Gun shop that takes guns on consignment and let them sell it. They will know all about the gun and be able to file all the appropriate paper work.
A word of caution! If you sell it yourself, make sure that you make a bill of sales with the gun serial number the address of the buyer, the sellers name, the date, County, city, and state for both buyer and seller. Keep the original, and give the buyer a copy and keep this for at least 10 years. If you sell the gun and it later becomes used in a crime the ATF will come to your house, Question you and put you through the ringer, I know I have had this happen.
Good Luck
