It depends. Because it might easier for them to get a guy's attention, but it might only be hard sometimes when it comes to guys who only want to be with them to sleep with them.

In general, being beautiful is a privilege, based on whatever culture you are in. I think physical beauty could be part of what Peggy McIntosh refers to as an "invisible knapsack" of social privileges, including (figuratively speaking) blank checks, maps, compasses, and assorted advantages. Beauty is a social construction. Although there is some consistency, different cultures appreciate different "beauty." There have been recent studies that show even infants prefer beautiful faces over homely ones, so human beings may be hard-wired to trust and appreciate the beautiful. That could be dangerous. How often do we base our votes on the candidate's physical comeliness? There's a pervasive misconception that people are either beautiful OR intelligent, or if they are ugly on the outside they are necessarily beautiful on the inside; that kind of binary thinking should get you into trouble. Further, some of the most well-adjusted, kind, thoughtful, etc. human beings I've known have been physically beautiful, so beauty isn't just "skin deep." Although beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, it does make life easier by many measures for beautiful people. I doubt many who are beautiful seriously think life would be easier if only they were ugly. Most beautiful people figure out at an early age how to work it.

It depends on the girl. Some girls know that these days looks matter and they will use it to thier advantage and use it wrong, which are the ones that aren't so beautiful on the inside. Others are beautiful and still have a great head on thier shoulders. But it doesn't matter how you look all it matters or should matter is the inside. Us girls that arent' miss universe material get the crap end of stuff. there are so many great people out there but b/c we don't look like what society thinks is right. we get shoved under the rug. and it bites. so no, beautiful girls don't really have it harder. if they do, they brought on b/c of who they are and not what they look like.

yeah. they get hit on more. Even when they don't want to be. They seem to learn how to let a guy down, so he'll leave her alone though, so I guess that's a good thing. But it's still probably annoying when a guy comes up while ur trying to get some alone time in or whatever, and he's trying to get ur number and wont take no for an answer.

Yea, right [heavy sarcasm] It must be hard being the center of attention all of the time, and constantly having everyone bend over backwards to kiss your behind.

It is easier, and cheaper, to be ugly than it is to be beautiful. If being beautiful was so hard, then why do they go to so much trouble and expense to look good? They could just "let themselves go" if they hated being beautiful all of the time.

I think sometimes, yes. They coast through life on their looks, and have little incentive to educate themselves or develop any real kind of personality.

Think about it - the hottest women you know probably had kids at a very young age and didn't go to college.

It easier for beautiful to go through the world because men open doors for them, but it's harder for them to find love because men often don't look beyonf their looks

Yes. I'm beautiful inside out and, believe it or not, I can't get a man to trust me. They always think their not good enough, and secretly suspect I'll leave them for someone better.
