I wouldn't necessarily call it the end, but I would call it the road to the ultimate destruction of our Union. Barack Hussein Obama's administration and ideas, while possibly meant with good intentions, are completely the opposite of what our Union was founded upon and are dangerous to the stability and well being of it. Americanism is Republicanism. Obama holds values that are more identifiable to Socialism and Fascism, as do many other Democrats - Republicans, too, specifically "Neo-Conservatives," or "neocons" for short. If you know your history, you will see that societies like Rome had similar fates - thriving Republics turning into unstable (Socialist) Democracies ruled via "mob rule" or the will of the people, and finally turning into dictatorships, anarchy, or some other similar fate. A form of European Socialism or Fascism is what Obama has to offer, despite what Democrats will argue. This "welfare state" and the "Democratizing" of our Union is what is leading to its destruction. However, I would also argue that it is not Barack Obama who is ultimately responsible, but the citizens of our Union for straying from the principles which our founding fathers set before us. It is the fault of the citizens of this Union for electing Barack Obama into office. It is the fault of the citizens of this Union for bringing about European Socialism, for not knowing a thing about history, their Union, Republicanism, and for disregarding the Constitution entirely. To answer your question, yes - we are witnessing the end. Socialism has never, ever, ever worked in history. We will fall like Rome fell, and like how the European Union will fall.
