Is the Vitamin A & Vitamin D ointment they gave me to heal my tattoo the exact same stuff as A&D diaper cream?

Yes. It is the stuff people use on their babies butts to prevent getting diaper rash.

A & D diaper "Cream" is different than the ointment. The cream contains are rash soothing ingredient, whereas the ointment is more of a protector.
