He came to experience everything that humans experience. This includes death.

For me, Catholic theologians are in general the best ones to read. They say that God became human in Jesus, and that made human flesh holy and a vessel of God's grace. In dying, Jesus experienced the pain and separation that we all face and in doing so, he made it possible for us never to be separated from God or each other again: eternal life in Him.

That makes the most sense to me.

Jesus is the sinless Son of God. He willing went to the
cross to take our punishment for our sins. When we put our
faith in Him as our Savior we receive pardon or forgiveness.
From that time on He is always in our lives helping and
guiding us.
Jesus us loves us so much He suffered on the cross for all

I believe in Jesus, but I always asked myself the same question. I can't understand how one man can die and abracadabra all our sins disappeared... That means we can sin with no consequences? All we have to do is run to Jesus when our own conscience is accusing us? No, no!! I know the answer. Jesus didn't take our sins with Him at all. We will pay for our sins one way or the other, in this life or in the next one. Jesus died in the cross ultimately to give us the following message: "Father, forgive them, because they don't know what they are doing". He was an example to be followed, and that's what we are supposed to do: forgive, because NOBODY knows what he/she is doing, because we are all in different levels of spirituality and knowledge, and we only achieve the higher level through several lives.

Peace!

When you go to the store to buy a soda there is a price on it. Lets say its $1.00. You hand the clerk 50 cents and are surprised that you cannot have the soda? God set the price of our eternal salvation and the cost of our sin high. The only sacrifice that was worthy of fulfilling that payment was the shed blood of his only begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus took the sins of the whole world upon his body 1John 2:2. Took those sins and deposited them in hell and took the keys of hell and death and conquered what we cannot. He defeated death by rising again and hell by leaving after depositing our sins there. Presented himself to God the Father as a perfect sacrifice paying in full the debt we make with out sins.

It is a little complicated. In the Old Testament they had to make animal sacrifice for cleansing of sin. God decided to send His son in human form. His death on the cross was the last and ultimate sacrifice. When you except Jesus as your savior you are hypothetically coverd in the blood of Jesus and recieve cleansing of sins that you have committed. My life has drastically changed my life since I excepted the cleansing blood of Jesus and all the blessings that go with it. Well that was a codensed version but I hope it was enough to answer your question. God Bless

without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin. And the only blood that would last, is perfect blood. So Jesus came to earth, laid aside His divinity, remained sinless so that He could die the death that all of us should have died. We have a choice if we will be saved or not. God loved us ALL so much that He sent His Son, to redeem us. If you choose to admit you are a sinner, accept Christ as payment for your sin, you are saved. Look at this as the greatest act of love that anyone could do for someone.

Man is at the core... sinful. Believer and non-believer alike. God is completely seperate from sin, He can have nothing to do with sin. Yet, God loves us despite our sin. So He sent His emmisary, His Son, to show the world how to lead a sin-free existence. Where as our punishment for our sin should be permanent seperation from God after we die, Jesus decided to sacrifice His life, the ultimate sacrifice... to take the place of us. Because of that we don't have to be seperate from God, Jesus paid the debt for us. During his time on the cross there was a point Jesus exclaimed "Why has thou forsaken me?". God had to seperate from Jesus at that moment because Jesus had taken the weight of the sins of mankind on his shoulders, and remember... God can't have anything to do with Sin. Luckily, because of His perfectly led life, He rose three days later (some believe He spent those three days in Hell-- the ultimate seperation from God) and before ascending back to heaven, left us with a part of Him on earth-- the Holy Spirit, which is our guide and our conscience.

It was a decision made by God the Father to save those who believe in Jesus as the Son of God. To save people from eternal damnation. We will still have sin and temptation, but Jesus' death was victory over Satan. Now we have salvation...if you believe. Lots of people want to drag you down with them and tell you the Bible doesn't apply to today's world. Why not? Keep searching and asking.

You are so brilliant, despite you misspellings. Exactly. What purpose did it serve for a man to suffer and die on a cross to save mankind from sin? Wouldn't it make more sense for God simply to have just forgiven man? Why make someone suffer and die? This only shows how sadistic the Christian God is.

you really want to know, here go's

God made man for one purpose, to love and fellowship with him. He could have made man as the angles who are nothing more than servants, but God wanted man to love him, because he wanted to not because God made him to do so.
There were certain rules, that God gave man, and with all rules there was a penalty if the rules were broke. The penalty for braking the rule was death. Man broke the rule, and death came into our world. God's original design was for man to tend his gardens love his wife and children and live a good life, but after man gave in and broke the rules all things fell apart. The nature of God is clear, he will not change his mind on most things, and if he say this will happen then it will. Another aspect of God is that he can not be in the presence of sin. As well as God is just; he will always make the just decision on all things. For man and God to have fellowship, something must pay for the sin man did, Something must die. So God allowed man to use a goat, or lamb, or dove, to "die" in his place for a particular sin. But each time he sinned he had to offer up another sacrifice. As you can see, this would get old fast.

All an animal's blood could do was cover the sin, it could not remove the sin, So in the greatest example of Love this world has ever know, God sent himself, his Son who was sinless, completely innocent to die in the place of man. Its like this, a man who is broke can not pay the debts of another man. But Jesus was sinless, never did he sin, so when he died, a sinless man took my place, Now, when I accept Jesus’ payment for my sin, I can be reconciled back to a holy God, because Jesus paid the debt I owed, the one I could not pay, because I have sinned many times. But I must also accept that payment. or it means nothing to me, I accept that gift by believing That Jesus was the son of God, that he was sinless, and then confessing to my God that I am a sinner, and I accept Jesus’ payment for my debt. I hope this helps.

Before Christ, people had to sacrifice animals in a form of asking for forgiveness of sins. When Christ came, He essentially bore the weight of the world, all sin, and with His death, made it so that people didn't have to go through a High Priest, kill and burn animals, etc. to pay for their sin. Now, we pray, we ask forgiveness for what we've done wrong, and we attempt to live a life as perfect as possible, that is impossible, but we continuously look to improve ourselves, others, and the world around us. Great question!!
