There is this beauty queen who my boyfriend knows through work and he has talked about her openly with me in a non suspicious way. He says she is extremely attractive but really thick blah blah and how sad she is because she just wants to be famous and she will end up a trophy wife.
However when talking to men about her, he almost brags that he knows her and said once about her "attractive isn't the word" ( to fair she won some crappy pageant) and apart from anything I find this very hypocritical. Is he just being a man and playing up? It just annoys me that he probably brags more about knowing her than having a girlfriend like me - who, yes I may not be a beauty queen, but it is fair to say I am above averagely good looking and I have a great career, education, am loving and think the world of him?

It is disrespectful of him to brag so much about his friendship with her. He obviously is saying this stuff about how he knows her in order to make himself appear something he isn't. I understand you think the world of him...but he doesn't seem to think the world of you if he has to brag about his connection to her. Nor does he appreciate that you are an attractive and great person.

Obviously he is trying to impress his friends by implying that he can attract better looking women than they can. Some people brag about their jobs, their sports trophies, or their kids. If you nothing else to brag about, you brag about who you know.

I find it odd that he doesn't brag about his girlfriend (you), but he brags about his other female acquaintances instead. Most guys naturally brag about the ones that they love. I see why you find it annoying. I would too.

He is very disrespectful for one for talking about her in front of you to his boys. You need to keep a eye out for ol boy, because he may be her emotional support. And you know what emotional support leads to right?
