I keep on hearing residency when i look up pharmacist!

Do you HAVE to go to residency? Like is it better if you do or not? Do u get paid?

Residency is a nice way of saying slave wages and hours. You will go through college then train as a pharmacist, then you spend one year in "residency" where you are supervised and brought up to speed.

Pharmacy residency is optional. You can do it for 1 or 2 years. Only about 11% of graduates go onto residencies. If you are interested in clinical pharmacy, you'll need a residency.
