I have an outstanding traffic violation (ran a red light in 2004) in California. When I got the violation, I had a New Hampshire license. Now, I have a New Jersey license. I'm planning to go back to CA in December. My question is if I get pulled over, can they catch me? I don't have my old license anymore.

Yes they can. I would make arrangements to pay the fine before you come to CA. If you are stopped, you will most likely be arrested and held until you made bail.

...doesn't matter what State it was in... if you have a warrant outstanding against you and "they" put it in the N.C.I.C. system... some day you'll get pulled over for a tail-light out and "away you'll go"...or when you go to renew your license or register your vehicle or in some states "they" report it to the National Insurance clearing house, so when you go to purchase automotive insurance or renew your insurance, you'll see that your "rate" has drastically increased or you've been canceled... (This is the 21st Century.... you can run but you can not hide)

If you are stopped and a search is made for warrants in your name, there is a possibility that you will be snagged. On the other hand, it has been three years since the violation and it may have disappeared by now.
A lot depends on whether or not you have been recieving notices of the violation.

If you get pulled over in California, the old ticket will show up on the NLETS query. If I were you I'd take care of that ticket. You may end up in jail if you don't.

Its your name, DOB and descriptors that are on your warrant. If you run into the police, you will be arrested in for your Failure To Appear warrant.
