You want me to 'prove' something that I've been taught as a Christian, yet you don't want me to quote the bible? Or do you want me to 'prove' something that I have been taught from the bible, but use evidence outside the scriptures? What is it you are trying to find out? you want proof that certain events actualy happened? You want validity for some of Jesus' teachings? You want proof for GOD?
Remember, christianity is about faith. It's not a science, per se. Except for the idea that we put our faith the ways of GOD until GOD reveals those ways. (this is a scientific idea, take the hypothesis for example)

the city of nazareth existed as did "judeah".
pontius pilate was in fact a prefect of rome during the time period when a man named jesus was known as a local preacher.
these have all been verified by outside non-christian sources.
need I continue?
you have a point, but need to realize that the bible has value as a written story. most written stories use real places and scenarios, look at shakespeare, no wait, look at any movie, it is set in a real city. Even spider man exists in new york city, does that mean that nyc doesn't exist because the stories are false?
the bible has important historical and social value. It is a valuable window into the past to interpret culture and customs of the people living in the ancient world based upon what they obviously incorporated into their religious belief system. And that they probably lived thier lives in accordance with that system to a large degree.

Well...I think your challenge is to prove that one single item in the bible is true and I am not able to quote the bible as evidence for the support of the one single item.
Okay...I accept your challenge. I'm not sure of the prize though.....but anyway....here goes:
Love is a greater force than hate!!!
Hate is about self and it leads you down a path that ends in disaster. It is the cause of harm to our fellow man. It is the stuff that hurt, pain, sorrow and a hundred other negatives are based on. It is also the stuff that ignorance and a lack of tolerance is based upon.
Love is about others and provides a motivation for people to care about other people and provide respite and shelter and food and clothing and education and health and a hundred other things that allows man to attend to the needs of man.
Have I made my point?

Great... another "here's a question that you can't answer except by my rules" post. The onus of proof isn't on me as a Christian, I found proof on my own, my soul is secure. Proving it to you even if I could doesn't change my status. I would like as many people that can, to discover the truth, but that's the trick. If you seek you will find it, so it's clear to me you are the one who is close minded. You are afraid to seek, because if you find out Christians were right after all, you might have to change things in your life. So it's your fear and denial you are accountable for. I can help you on the path, but I can't force you to the truth, you at some point, have to decide for yourself. Incidently, I don't believe, I know. Are you as sure about any belief you have?

The bible was written beginning over 6000 yrs ago and ending about 2000 yrs ago. It stated the earth was round before man knew it. Science makes new discoveries only to find out that they agree with Gods holy word. The KJV bible has never been proved to have error in it despite 1000s of challenges. Man could have never written a book that agrees perfectly from cover to cover despite being written over 4000 yrs. We are not that smart. God must have been the author using men to pen his scriptures. Every time a verse is challenged to be false the answer comes from with the same book not outside sources. God gave us everything we need in one book to prove anything, solve any problem and face any challenge. It takes faith to believe in a God that loves you and no faith to believe man wrote a book.

simple as pie, your own brain is 100% proof, look around you, does any other animal thats been here millions of years drive a Chevy, our species is how old and we have been to the moon, why haven't turtles, they have been here longer? Do you really think that a big bang just happened and poof here we are? Think, do you really think a few chemical just happened to fall from space and life was born all by accident and we are the result, a species very different than all others, the only species that creates, like our maker, we was made to rule this place period.

Can you prove every single thing in evolution from begining until now? didn't think so, so stop asking these questions. You have to understand that there is this word called faith, believing in God is having faith. The proof and evidence that we get is the Holy Spirit that moves inside of us, than things can be backed up by findings, like at the site of Sodom. That is if you are interested in those, not saying that i need material findings to believe but just to further knowledge myself and to show you atheists and whoever else.

Well, it funny you not want to hear what the Bible say. Guess that why people thought the world was flat, they never wanted to hear what the Bible say. Bible says the world is round. I think it true, but, maybe it is flat and the Bible lie.

I have a similar challenge for you. Prove ANY empirical statment, any one at all. You can use the Bible, you can use witnesses, you can use scientific papers, books whatever. You can use absolutely anything and only need to prove one little itty empirical statement.

we are told killing is wrong. Do I need to prove to you it is ?
out of hand rejection of any hypothesis including the god hypothesis, in the absence of a scientific proof to the contrary is an arrogant act of intellectual bias and prejudice. I assume you do NOT have scientific proof god does NOT exist ?
can you tell me why atheists are obsessing over the bible ?
