We are both the same. I also eat kind of late. Well, the only way to solve this is by being more disciplined by budgeting your time. Usually there are so many things you have to do that you have no more time to have dinner. Well at least you were still able to eat which is way better than not having anything. My advice here is, you should try eating something you like and eat it early. If the food is boring, perhaps you'll pass on that.

Good Luck!

Don't feel bad--some people are hungrier at night or different times of the day. Instead of beating yourself up about it, try working around your late-night eating habits. First, remember that eating at night is not necessarily bad----its more about how many calories you take in over the course of the entire day, and not about when you eat. Try eating a later breakfast and a later lunch, or make sure that the late night meal is just a late dinner and not an extra meal with extra calories. If you only eat 1500 throughout the entire day, even if 500 of those are at night, you should be fine. On the other hand, if you already ate 1500 during the day and eat an extra 500 calories on top of that at night (to total 2000), then you should eliminate one of those meals.

I think the main problem why you always eat late at night is because you tend to skip meals in between your day. So when night comes, you will start to feel hungry and start eating.
I think the solutions to the problem are :
1. Do not skip meals on the day.
2.Try to sleep early so that you will not feel hungry.
3.If you really cannot take the hunger, eat a light snack at night.

I had that problem. Mostly because I work at night. I set a time of day that I could not eat after... usually 5 hours before bedtime. Since then I've lost 50 pounds! Good luck ...but mostly it just takes will power!

there is nothing wrong with eating late at night, it's what you eat that matters. late at night meals should be protein based with vegetables and extremely low carb.

most likely if you find yourself ravenous at night time you are either not consuming enough calories/nutrients during the day and/or consuming too much of the wrong types of foods.

Try eating your last meal of the day around 7 pm, and don't stay up late! Drink more fluids to help you feel full. If you just can't take it and can't sleep, try a healthy bowl of cereal, or a yogurt.

Reserve a part of your fridge for "late night snacks". Stock it with fruit and other low calorie food such as cereal.

No high calorie food at night, it messes up your sleep and gives you a sour stomach in the morning.

you are assuming that eating will make you full and when you are full it is easier to fall asleep, correct?

just a little note that I recently received, when you eat or drink (anything) you body cannot digest and that is why you end up with acid refulx and bad stomach problems.

will that make you decide to have just a couple of sips of hot chocolate and hit the sheets?
