I know that you can write a dispute letter to the credit bureaus if they are reporting inaccurate information, but what if the information is correct but the account has already been paid? Is there any way you can get it removed before the date set for removal? Also my medical bills are in clear view to everyone. I thought that they were supposed to be marked "Med1" and only could be viewed by myself? Any suggestions on how to clear up my credit and have these items removed early and get my medical bills to be marked appropriately?

Derogatory accounts continue to show for 7-years from the date of first delinquency weather you pay them or not.

The time to address this is when you are talking to the collection companies. You have to demand a pay for delete agreement before you pay them.
