Quick and passport are words not used together. It can take up to 8-12 weeks to get a passport. I have heard on the news its going to take a lot longer in the future to get one. Sad Huh? I am sorry : (

sorry to tell you man, but after you get the appointment, it takes about 6 weeks for them to process.. passports are a crappy business.

nothing- change your trip. they are running 3-6 months out- and if you pay to expedite you might have it in 2-3 months.

Call the office of your US congressman or senator, they have staff people to do this.. it will cost you extra..
