I really think for me David Tennant is starting to overtake Tom Baker

Well, I grew up watching Jon Pertwee, who WAS Dr Who. Then I really liked Tom Baker. After that, it lost it's appeal, and I thought I'd never watch it again.

THEN along comes Christopher Eccleston, and then I was hooked again. I wasn't too sure about David Tennant at first, but now I think he's really brilliant.

These are my four favourites, but what order I'd put them in, I don't know. They are all brilliant!!!!

My favourite always has been, and probably always will be William Hartnell, the original and the best.

Tom Baker was clearly my second favourite until that last series of DW, but your absolutely right about Tennant. In the last series his performances as the Doctor were amongst the best in the series history. Now I would not put Tom Baker and David Tennant in a tie for second place behind Hartnell in my favourite Doctor's list.

For me it'll always be Tom Baker. I grew up watching him as the Doctor and no one will ever better that.

David Tennant comes a very close second though. I love his take on the Doctor and I'll be very sad when he leaves.

I loved Tom Baker but went right off him when he was a naked priest in She devil yuk!!
I do like David Tennant in the role and another i thought who may be some good was the man who played Nigel in eastenders many years ago he is in holby now but has aged a bit for the part.

They all seem really interesting, (from seeing lots of behind the scenes, recaps, flashbacks, etc in the current Confidentials) tho I only seriously started watching when Ninth Doctor started; so yea, Tenth and Nine are my favorites, lol. I think I also watched the show back in the late 80s / early 90s, can't remember, just that it was on PBS. I think Tennant is doing awesome now, and I agree, its gonna be hard come the day he's no longer in the role! ;P

Edit: Zomg, someone thumbsdown'd this? Why? Oy... haters.

Has to be David Tennant, not only is he soooo sexy, but he appears to be really enjoying it.
And even though he appears as a happy go lucky Dr there is a darkness to him as well.
