As an acne sufferer myself I tried several different remedies to cure it. I found that by changing my diet, the acne would decrease but not stop altogether.
Lay off the crisps and biscuits and eat lots of fruit.
You can go to the doctor and get tablets. Retinol A is a drug that boosts your vitamin A levels and makes your skin exfoliate ( peel ) faster. However it can cause some side effects like nosebleeds, sore lips and in some cases depression.
You must keep your face clean at all times and if it gets greasy try to clean it asap. You can buy expensive cleansers but I found unperfumed soap and water worked just as well.
P.S. Don't squeeze them or you will end up with a scarred face.

Two things have been shown to help bad acne, but do you really want to do them:
1.) Olde English cologne has a good amount of alcohol in it so it keeps your face dry. The down side is you smell like grandpa which will keep the ladies away from you which is why you wanna get the acne off i'm guessing.
2.) This is even crazier, but apparently, the best home remedy for acne is this. Get a face cloth, and wet it with your first urine of the day. By putting this on your face it dries it out. Apparently the first urine of the day works better than any other durring the day.
Now, check out capecodsandbars.com, its sope with grains of sand in it...that could be another option.
Good Luck!

If it really is acne they don't for goodness' sake pop em! Go to see dr. Very strong meds needed.
If not really acne but just a bit spotty you just have to go through the over the counter stuff until you find something that kepps your skin clean and not to oily without stripping off your flesh.
There are some things good about being older!

You need a good skin care routine, to keep the skin clean. Acne is caused by bacteria on the skin, anti-biotic in a cream applied to the skin is the best bet. You get this from your doctor. The type of advice really does depend on the type of acne and how severe it is though.

I don't know if you are male or female, but I would recommend regular facials. If the acne is particulary bad, normally you would have a couple of sunbed sessions first, just to dry the acne out, and then after that the facials. Your skin does look fantastic when you have regular facials, it does look a lot clearer, as the blackheads and spots tend not to appear.
Best of luck.

i actually follow the basic rules and now i can see the differences before i haven't.
Drink 6~8 cups of water every day;
Dont strach your face and DONT POP THEM!
Or if you have to pop them, make sure you have to pop the whole yucky yellowish thing out and then put some cream on it!
Drink or eat things contain Vitamin A, C and E
make sure you wash your face twice a day - in the morning after ur woke up and at night before u sleep.
apply UV protection on ur acne before you go outside

1. Lots of vegetables, fruit and water.
2. Wash your face with a good cleanser once in the morning and once at night.
3. At night, dab toner on your face and apply pimple cream. Always be sparing with the amount you apply. Then top off with moisturiser. Thin layers.
4. Whatever facial care product you use, use it for at least 4 months so you know if it works for you or not.
5. At least 7-8 hours of rest per night.
6. Exercise.
7. Stop fiddling with your face. Pick up sudoku or lift weights or something. Just keep your grubby little fingers off your face.

My partner, who is 38, suffered from terrible acne for years. His spots were huge, painful, and took ages to heal. I read about topical antibiotics, namely the antibiotic Clindamycin. (He had already tried oral antibiotics for over a year, they just gave him a bad stomach) He talked to our GP who prescribed the Clindamycin. The chemist could only find one cream containing the antibiotic - Dalacin Cream 2%, which is actually a vaginal antibiotic. (Everytime we collected the cream the chemist would ask questions, I suppose he was wondering what a man could be doing with a vaginal cream! Anyway to cut a long story short, the cream has worked and my partner now has clear skin for the first time since puberty! It took about 3 weeks to notice any improvement and around a year to clear up completelty. Hope this helps.

BATHING ALWAYS HELPS (AT LEAST ONCE A DAY )
ANOTHER GOOD THING IS TO USE A LOOFA WHEN YOU SHOWER. THE HARSHNESS OF THE LOOFA RUBS OFF A LOT OF DEAD SKIN AND HAIR FROM YOUR BODY.
TRUE YOU FEEL LIKE A PIECE OF GRATED CHEESE AFTERWARDS, BUT YOUR SKIN WILL THANK YOU AFTER TWO WEEKS OF SCRUBBIN.
POPPING THE ZITS IS AN OPTION, BUT IF YOU DON'T GET ALL OF THE PUSS OUT, ALL YOU'VE REALLY DONE IS AGGRAVATE AN ALREADY IRRITATED PORE. A GOOD SOAP TO USE, IF U USE BAR SOAP, IS DOVE. IT HAS SCRUBBY THINGS ALREADY IN THE BAR, AND THEY DO A GOOD JOB OF SANDING YOU SKIN FOR YOU, LEAVING IT SMOOTH AS A BABIES BOTTOM.
