Can you use celery for salads?

I use celery and onion together in salad all the time. Usually it is a red onion though.

To me I dont care whats in a salad as long as there are no peppers meaning Jalepenos. But its really up to you if you put celery in or not. But you also got to remember some people are alergic to ceartain foods. If I were you Id ask before I make a salad, that is if its for a party.

Yes, you can put anything you want in salad. My sister fixes a salad that's a regular green salad, with strawberries, pecans, and a vinigarette dressing... EW!

Personally, I have made the conscious decision to avoid foods that are either slimy or hairy, unless they are REALLY well camoflauged. This rules out celery for the most part (except in cooking). It also rules out most raw tomato products and avacado.

Kiwi fruit, of course, falls under both catagories, and is doubly despised.

I love the two together, you can put it in egg salad, tuna salad, tossed salad, or make a nice Waldorf salad with celery and walnuts.
