I actually used my daughters pull ups. I cut a hole in it for her tail. She didn't bother with them too much.

Unless your a reputable breeder, your female is a good dog to breed and you are going to properly breed your female, get her spayed. My husband and I own three American Pit Bull Terriers, one male and two females. We just got our two females spayed and we are about to get our male neutered. All of ours are pure bred and wonderful representations of the breed, our male would be great to breed, but we are not reputable breeders, so the responsible thing to do was to get them all fixed. This world doesn't need anymore puppies! There are already so many dogs in this world that are living on the streets, living in shelters and being put to sleep every single day because there aren't enough homes in this world for them! We definitely don't need anymore poorly bred "pit bull" puppies for people to abuse, neglect, fight and abandon! I don't know if you're a reputable breeder or not, but because you said you have a "pit bull" I'm assuming your not. A reputable breeder would say what breed they own. I'm not saying that you're planning on breeding just because she isn't spayed, but you should definitely spay her, just to be safe. I'm sure you don't want to add to all of these poor abused, neglect and tortured dogs! : (
If spaying isn't an option, all you really can do is keep her in an area that will be easy to clean a much as you can or keep a doggy diaper on her.
By the way, "pit bull" isn't a breed, it's a term used to group three breeds, American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers.
Good luck! : )

I agree with JR. The doggie diapers are about the only thing, besides keeping her in an area that is easily cleaned up (bathroom, kitchen, xpen, etc. where there is tiled or vinyl flooring that's easily mopped up)

If you're not planning on breeding her, you need to have her spayed. As far as the mess goes, when my Lab was in heat, I kept her in the spare bathroom to keep it from getting all over the house.

Our dog would take care of her "mess" on her own-she would lick it up. NO dog or any animal (if possible) should have to wear a diaper.
Best solution-get your pup spayed. Take care.

Well, you can keep her in her crate but three weeks is an awful long time to be confined like that. Best bet if she's not being shown in conformation is to get her fixed, then Voila....no more mess every six months, no chance of unwanted pregnancy, much lower risk of breast cancer, etc.

either schedule a vet appt. to spay her or buy a reusable diaper that way she cannot rip it off or take it off plus in the future it will save you money.

get her fixed. if you arent going to do that (and you really should, its better for her health and temperment) you can try confining her to the kitchen or bathroom, somewhere that the floor is easily cleaned
