I need to send a word document (contract) via email and I do not whant that the recipient change it.

There is no sure way they will not change the document. Someone can always re-type it to make changes. However, what I recomend is scan the document or convert it to a pdf and send it to them that way.

Try to convert the file into a .pdf format, it doesn't allow anyone changes it or even copies it. If you've got Adobe Reader, this should be done easily at www.adobe.com

go to Tools, Options, Security you can password protect etc from there.
OR


also, click on Help, type protect, and it will show you some options.
