I find it harder and harder to stay focused on the tasks at hand while I am at work. When my job gets redundant I feel like slacking off a bit. What are some good tips and advice to keep my mind from being drained throughout the day? How do I stay motivated and focused?

go to the park and see the homeless people living there. they lacked motivation and drive and you see where they got to in life.

Have you watch the apprentice? Do you want to be as successful as the apprentice candidates? Normally when you watch this show, you can see that these candidates are working so hard. Planning their schedules, went to many places, setting their contract. They were like robots and nearly stay on for 24 hours. Focusing on work is one of the main points to the gate of success. If they can, why not we? But if you really feel tired or got fed up after focusing for so long, take a short walk, watch television, go online for awhile or have a nap.

*I am 15, and i am a high school student. This year I am going to take an exam from the government to determine what field should I take. I got focused by this (the apprentice) concept. Hope this helps on you too.

Best Wishes,

Ask your boss if there is anything he or she can teach you or something else that needs to be done that way it makes you look good and helps with your situation of staying focused. Try to look further into what you do. Ask your self questions about why you do the things you do (for what purpose) instead of maybe thinking you know how to do everything and leaving it at that. Good Luck!

Think about the reason why you work, and then associate a dull task with something rewarding (new car, new clothes, vacation plans, family, ect). I work in a VERY reduntant job, but I feel it is important, and without it, my family would be homeless-helps motivate me!

The obvious one is to get off of Yahoo answers.
I find the internet/games/yahoo whatever of a lot more interest than my job.

Think of being broke, unemployed, and moving back with your parents. Trust me you will stay focused.

Smoke weed to stay motivated (that way, you don't think so much about how boring and meaningless your job is) and drink lots of coffee to focus.
