Yes, the deadline is 3 years from either the original date, or if you filed an extension, 3 years from that date. If it's the 2006 taxes you are talking about, you would have till April 15, 2010 to file a return and get your refund. You could file taxes right now for 2006, 2005, and 2004 and still get refunds. You could also file for 2003, if you had filed 1st extension (good till August 15) and 2nd extension (good for another 2 months, till October 15). Otherwise, you are past the date for 2003 refund.

Yes. April 15th.

You're required to file your taxes no later than April 15th, and it doesn't matter if the IRS owes you money or you owe the IRS money.

For 2006 yes it is 04/15/2010 but remember if you go past that date you will not get your refund.

3 years from the original due date.

For 2006, it will be 4/15/2010......but I wouldn't wait that long.
