Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., plans to offer an amendment to the five-year farm bill that could come to the floor in October that could legalize 1.5 million farm workers. The Congressional Budget Office estimated they would bring another 1.8 million relatives into the country with them.

Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., assured Feinstein of a vote on the so-called AgJobs measure, which she introduced earlier this year as a freestanding bill (S 340). "I will do everything I can to make sure it is part of the farm bill," Reid said.

we need to get alipac on all of this and get the petitions flying. if they can't come legally like others then they don't need to be here. Americans can do them jobs for a decent wage.

Dianne Feinstein is she aware we already have 20 million illegals here ? How many would stay at a job picking fruit when they see other illegals who are not fruit pickers driving new cars and trucks.Once they are legal none of these people will stay on picking fruit, they shall move on to a better job.Dianne Feinstein never did follow up on our border patrol agents sitting jail. The hearing amounted to we will look into it but still they sit in jail. She cannot be trusted to do what is in the best interest of Americans.

Christine makes some good points.May I add also, if some form of visa had been voted on this 1.5 million and their 1.8 million relatives wouldn't be an issue. These jobs would already have been filled. Now on top of all the illegals here this will add an additional 3.3 million people. And we have gained what as far as a solution to illegal immigration?Nothing. They still come and they're still here.I suggest rereading Christine's post. Many might learn something.

<<>>> Many Republicans voted confident on the NDAA. It handed with a veto evidence majority in the two properties. Too risky we can not anticipate the Republican controlled place of abode to shoot down such measures. they are asserting they are going to look after "freedom", in spite of the fact that in the event that they define "freedom" as tax breaks for their rich living house vendors.

We are about to go through some major growing pains... but... we'll get through it. I used to be against giving amnesty to illegal immigrants until I thought it through.

1. There are millions of illegal immigrants in this country who have American born children. If you dry up jobs and do not allow these parents to house their children how are the children supposed to take care of themselves? Are we going to put them in foster care? I think we need to be realistic about this. As Americans we did sit back and allow wide open borders... we didn't pay attention and as a result we got "stuck" with many non-citizens flowing into the country, but its too late to now go back and try to send them all back. American children have rights. We can't tie the hands of the parents or else the children will suffer.

2. Americans are not having a lot of children. Social Security is going bankrupt (if it hasn't already) and a bunch of baby boomers are about to retire. I'm 34 yrs old and have worked since I was 15 yrs old. When I'm old and gray I want some type of cusion besides what I have personally saved. That's what Social Security is for. Without a major growth in population to pay into the Social Security system, when you and I are seniors we will get nothing. Are you ok with that?

3. THE NORTH AMERICAN UNION!!! Do you know what that is?? Its high time that the average American put down the beer, turn off Britney, Lindsey, Monday Night Football and Dancing with the Stars! Google the NAU if you don't know what it is, but let me cut you off at the pass and tell you what it is: Its the literal unification of Canada, the U.S. and Mexico as an economic and political superpowerhouse to rival the European Union. This has already been decided, folks, and now they are putting the finishing touches on it. There is a real highway (the NAFTA Superhighway) that is being built from Mexico through Texas that will cut across the U.S. to Canada. This is a real highway being built as we speak. Eventually (probably within 10 yrs or so) we will have one unit of money -- no longer will there be a Canadian dollar, a Mexican Peso or a U.S. dollar.... it will be replaced and there's talk that it will be called the "Amero." With the ongoing merger of our 3 countries, we're delaying the inevitable regarding making these illegal immigrants citizens. We're going to have to do it eventually anyway.

I understand your concerns with illegal immigration... I have many of the same concerns, but realistically its too late to turn back now. We fell asleep at the wheel when our government decided to allow all of this for whatever reasons -- now we have to wake up and deal with it in the most human and reasonable way we can.
