Don't fret if you lose something of great value {ring, keys, book..etc.} for as long as you have breath in your body and those you love are well, items here on earth can be replaced, but a human cannot

Depends on what kind of attachments & people. The material things? Some people would be happier without them. Some people need things like say their cellphones as they are happier communicating with others instead of looking inward. Others need the "quiet time" to reflect on what they feel is important.
I could never give up my attachments to people, the ones I have allowed in my life are just too important to simply give up and let go of.
So my wise friend what kind of attachments are you referring to?

It is not "wrong" to have people we love and possessions we enjoy; however, these things can come to own us instead of us owning them. In the case of people we can become so concerned with not losing them that we no longer enjoy them fully. With possessions it can be the same thing, but also those possessions can cloud our vision of what is truly remarkable about living. Something that living simply can show us.

I don't think giving up our attachments is the answer. I think we should appreciate more what we have and not allow ourselves to become too attached to something that we can't let it go when the time comes.
