It's called an automatic credit limit increase. Yes you can spend the money, but beware, you'll still have to pay back every penny and then some. Every six months your account will be reviewed and if consistently in good standing, then you will continue to receive credit increases. Be careful ok. Not knowing this could be dangerous. This is the start of many peoples debt problems, but if you pay as promised you'll never deal with that. Good luck.

how does money appear on a credit card? - do you mean someone charged something and increased your balance or did the credit card company raise the limit on the card?

They most likely incresed your credit limit and did not tell you.
This happened with my husband. However, you must be careful because this is what they do hoping you will be inclined to go out and use your card and max out this credit limit.
So spend it if you want but be prepared to pay those interest fees!!

You know the answer. Call the bank where you have your credit card and question where the money came from.
Maybe your grandmother sent you a present.

Nope, if it is discovered, they will take it back.
What kind of card is this (prepaid?)
Wait a few months and see what happens, but wait a minimum of 30 days (a full billing cycle) at least.
Don't be surprised if in 6 months they take it back.

I dont even think of we ought to continuously get it to tell you the reality. Wheres that funds coming from??? we are going to easily be paying it returned in any case. as far as im in touch they are in a position to maintain it. yet considering im getting it, i'm going to probably pay off a number of my mastercard, and something would be beer and dancing men...haha

Be careful...if it is not rightly yours then the rightful owners will want it back and they will get it. I would call the card company.
