What is the book of Genesis and the Gospel of John about?
Do any of them include the fall of Lucifer or any other sign of Hubris (arrogance)?

The gospel of John focuses on Jesus as Son of God. (Other gospels focus on Jesus as Son of Man, King, and Servant, but this one focuses on his Lordship.)

Genesis is the beginnings of all things. In it you find the seeds to every other doctrine found throughout the rest of the Scriptures.

It starts with an overview of God's creative power, then moves into the same creative act from a different perspective. It shows the fall of man, the complete and total depravity that mankind fell into, God's tearful judgement, and the hope of a new world. It goes on to show that even with all things new, mankind continued to fall from God's grace. It shows God's promise to send us a redeemer, and the beginnings of the nation of Israel.

Other details - about Lucifer, his fall, etc, are found elsewhere in the Scriptures.

Genesis means creation, exactly what the book is about. The creation of the world and its people, animals etc, as well as stories about the people of this time.

The book of John is a gospel of the life of Jesus as are Matthew, Mark and Luke.

We are told Lucifer did indeed fall in Revelation 12.7-12

Genesis: The creation, the fall, the redemption plan

John: The redemption fulfilled in Jesus Christ

The fall of lucifer is referred to in Isaiah and by Christ in one of the gospels (forget which one)

interpretation my friend, interpretation. I say Ezekiel is the fall of a literal king while others way (38 or 48) is the fall of lucifer. It says in john that God created all things and in Him (the Logos, the word) all things were created. If the bible is to be taken literally, then God created Lucifer, he created evil, he created sin, he created sickness, cancer, ailments, hurricanes, etc. Get my point, interpretation, and to each his own. If it were easy, then there would be just one church and not 1500 denominations in the USA alone.

Genesis means beginnings. John is about the glad tidings of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
