As males inherit some DNA ONLY from the mother, and some ONLY from the male, it all depends. E.g., some DNA a male inherits from his mother CANNOT be passed on to his offspring; a female offsping CANNOT pass on some DNA from her father.

However, there really is no such animal as a "pure Italian" or a "pure German"! My ancestors come from all over Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia, North and South America and Asia. THAT is the point: we are all mongrels!

Ital-man...just kidding. Was trying to be funny...probably wasn't though.
Good question too. Genetics is so confusing to me. The logical answer would be half and half. But a part of me wants to say that it depends on your genetic intake of each. For instance: I have my Mothers looks but my Dad's health problems.
You have a little of both in your blood/genetics. Blood is blood no matter what nationality you are human and created by God. You are You.
Blessings all around.

Well from my understanding Germans were a spread out group of people. So you could possibly be more Italian.

1/2 german 1/2 Italian, but if your grandparents were from another place then you would be less than 1/2.

Nothing to do with your parents.

If you were born in England you would be English with mixed nationality parents.

Germany = You'd be German with an Italian mother.

Italy = Italian with a German father and so on.

You´d be a half and half but the question is rhetorical as there is no such thing as pure in race.

Genetically you are a human...more specific you genetic ancestry can be traced back to African Adam and African Eve from whence we all came. We settled in various parts of the world and later on humans gave our homeland various names....but genetically you come from Africa.
