My 13 year old has been sick with a "cold" since Tuesday. Here have been her symptoms.
Tuesday: Sore throat, sniffles
Wednesday: Bad Stufffy Nose
Thursday: Kinda Stuffy Nose
Today: Kinda stuffy nose, but very hoarse voice all of a sudden.

Just as it seems she's getting better, her voice completely changes. Is it something else? If it is a cold, why did her voice change? Thanks. :)

Her throat might just be irritated by all of the drainage from the stuffy nose. All that gunk has to go somewhere and it usually irritates the throat as it goes which is why people often will have a hoarse voice as the last or one of the last symptoms of a cold.

sounds like common cold due to viral infection. there is no need to worry, it usually gets over within 2 weeks. for the change in voice, ask her to rest her vocal cords(not talking too much) and gargle with warm salt water thrice daily. things should be fine.
