Each Kennel owner will set their own, hopefully, reasonable guidelines!
Most are lenient under extenuating circumstances!
I remember one year we had to cancel due to a death & the kennel owners were most gracious! *Good Luck!

Some kennels require 24 hours notice. Other don't. But I can tell you this for sure. If you just don't show up for your appointment, then the next time you need to board your dog the kennel may not be so accomidating. All kennels keep records of appointments and have "cancells" or "no shows" marked down. They may very well tell you they are "full" when they are not. They may also have a policy that if you do not cancell within 24 hours before the appt, they will charge you a fee. If you can't make it, call and tell them you can't and why. They will appreciate that. Every kennel is different. Their policies vary. But most of the time if you call them, and explain why your won't be boarding your dog, they will not charge a fee and will be understanding. It's when you "blow them off" that makes them angry, and charge you for it.

It depends on the particular boarding kennels and what policies they have. I used to work for a boarding kennel whose original policy was that you could cancel at anytime but 24 hours minimum notice would be appreciated except in the peak periods (Christmas, Easter) when you had to pay a deposit which was non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.
They altered that policy to all bookings no matter what time of year require a deposit that is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.
You have to check with the kennels that you are going to.

You should have signed a contract with your boarding kennel and that policy should have been written out for you. If you are in doubt ask for a copy of the contract each kennel would vary according to the owner.

That usually depends on the specific kennel. They should have provided you with all of those guidelines when you signed the contract with them. If they didn't or you don't have the contract anymore, then call them up and ask their about their cancellation policy.

I'm sure they are all different. You need to check the one you are booked with.
I have only ever used one a few times, but with them if they are not fully booked and had to turn people away you can cancel at anytime without penalty. If they are booked and turned people away then you pay one day unless they get someone else to take the spot if you cancel within 48 hours.

Most kennels are privately owned, they can implement their own rules and regulations. Call the kennel in question and ask them.
