Just a theory, what if we use laser light as a light shield making laser give collor creating a protection againts solar heat because laser dont need so much material and its just a light? It is like making a sun glass but made out of laser light?

And laser light can be big enough to cover the entire earth? and again no need of much materials?

Yes afratha solar but let me say it this way do ever use to burn paper by use of a spaesial glass insted we use color light?

The stronger the light the stronger the color cover the earth? Just a theory?

In the past, when ever we take guesses to solve problems we don't understand, we only create bigger problems and new problems that didn't exist before.

There is no need to panic, there is no pending doom. The best cure is fully understanding the actions of the climate. Right now anyone's predictions is just a guess. A flip of a coin is just as accurate.

An interesting concept. Have to state from the outset that I don't know a great deal about lasers although I do understand atmospherics.

A laser beam is amplified light, the different colours that make up light have different frequencies and wavelengths. The atoms and molecules in the atmosphere interact with certain wavelengths of light causing diffusion - the scattering of certain wavelengths (it's why we have a bkue sky, red sunsets etc).

Because a laser beam is light it doesn't have the mass to it that we find with the particles in the atmosphere and as such it isn't going to 'block out' incoming solar radiation.

A simple and not particularly scientific demonstration could be set up by two people standing facing each other from a short distance and each shining a flashlight at the other person. The beams of light are going to pass through each other such that person A illuminates person B and similarly person B illuminates person A. There won't be a point where the light meets in the middle and cancels out.

The have been suggestions made as to ways to block out or reflect solar radiation. Such schemes include artificailly creating marine stratocumulii clouds (they're reflective), blanketing the planet with sulphur dioxide (it reflects sunlight), placing giant mirrors in space to reflect sunlight and placing giant sunscreens in space to deflect sunlight past Earth.

In the past, when we take guesses to solve problems we don't understand, we only create bigger problems and new problems that didn't exist before. The best cure is to reduce burning fossil fuels (a good idea in any event) and stop messing around with the climate.

Mr Jello and I agree this is a bad idea, although we disagree about what to do about global warming.

Instead of trying to come up with another space age technology to prolong our problems for future generations like we have been down for centuries now, we should look for answers in ecology that will help to restore the planet to its natural state. This will do the most to slow down global warming. If you really want to do something, you should become a vegan/vegetarian. The meat industry produces more emission than all transportation combined. Methan from cows and othe livestock are the number one cause of climate change as Methane is more than 20 times worse than CO2 for the atmosphere. To find out more check out www.thegspwebsite.com

intresting concept....but isn't global warming caused 98% by green house gases???...sunlight does take part in global warming but that problem is almost negligible compared to green house gases problem...
