I'm buying a Nikon d40 and I just can't find a really good website. There is amazon but it's kind of expensive and I don't know who to trust like there is this site called 1 way photo, it has the d 40 for 450 with a lot of great things included so my question is ....should I trust this site or do you even know this site? and do you recommend anything?

Many of us trust and recommend B&H Photo, but I don't think they shop overseas. Check into it. I have been using them for many years without a single problem. B&H Photo is available through a link at Yahoo! Shopping, www.bhphoto.com or at 1-800-622-4987. See also http://www.resellerratings.com/store/B_H_Photo_Video_Pro_Audio

Beach Camera is another excellent company.

ALWAYS check http://www.resellerratings.com/ before buying a camera on-line.

Check this before you deal with 1 Way Photo.

I have also heard good things about about Warehouse Express, mentioned above. They only have two reviews at Reseller Ratings, but they are both 10 point reviews.

The only 2 mail-order spots in the UK I trust for buying cameras are WAREHOUSE Express & Amazon UK.

I got my current 2 cameras (Fuji A345 + a Fuji S6500fd) from Amazon UK

You may want to give Jessops a miss, 'cos I've heard quite alot of complaints about them lately...... mostly staffed by spotty youths who don't have a clue about the products and only interested in their sales commissions.

I guess from your name that you are in the UK. One of the best photographic web retailers is http://www.warehouseexpress.co.uk/ The price for the new Nikon D40X is £412 inc. kit lens. The older D40 is only £319 inc lens. They are a very reputable company.
