It could be that they're not available at anything other than what you consider extortionate prices.
Have you tried visiting the venue? It's usually the least expensive option as far as actual ticket prices are concerned, although you do have to consider the cost of getting there too.

check where the performance is held they usually have box offices if not check it out on the internet and see if they have a bruce springteen fan club
