robtheman desires a history lesson. The Church grew to become into one (and nonetheless is - greater on that throughout the time of a minute) from the 1st by using sixteenth centuries. The Church (ie. the Catholic Church) is the only and easily church based by ability of Jesus Christ. this is historic actuality and futile to disclaim. effective, there have been some heretics alongside the way who started their own sects. yet those at as quickly as died off. And those sects can not fairly be suggested as church homes. The Church - loosely defined - is all who're baptized into Christ. This includes catholics, protestants and each and all the different jap orthodox traditions. Jesus has yet one physique, consequently the Church is one - in a feeling. the difficulty is this unity is imperfect. First, in 1054 the jap Orthodox church homes severed communion with the only, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. Then beginning up interior the sixteenth century and continuing even on the instant, hundreds of Protestant communities have shattered the western church's communion. yet, nonetheless the unique One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church keeps to be in proper communion with Jesus, Her Bridegroom. All that being suggested, you strengthen a sturdy factor that would desire to weigh heavily on the coronary heart of each and every Christian. Jesus prayed that the Church would proceed to be one. desire and charity call for that one and all Christians artwork tirelessly to guard or to repair that unity that the Divine Will meant. It does an wonderful disservice to the evangelization efforts of the Church whilst the participants of her physique can not accept as true with and love one yet another. The Church would be lots more suitable spiritually and greater nicely geared up to evangelise the gospel to the worldwide if all her youngster's presents have been working at the same time as a replace of being wasted on bickering and back-biting.

It isn't the Bible, it's man.
1 Corinthians 3:3 points this sort of thing out. Paul wrote to the Corinthian church saying that they were carnal, in the flesh, which brings envyings, divisions, strife.
This holds true even today. While the denominations of today are in existence because of differences in theology (often slight) a division should not be in the body of Christ.
Some people on this site are very pro-Catholic, or pro-protestant, which means they are anti-something.
Divisions are not made by God, but by men insistent over some particular matter.

It's the people reading it. Christians are fractured because most are not guided by Divine revelation. In fact, too many deny that Divine Revelation is possible. They claim the Bible is all there is and God will never say another thing to man. (Obviously if they understood the Bible, they would know how wrong this view is).

The fact is while the Bible is profitable to understand the life of the Savior and the Prophecies given in the past. No man can be saved because of revelations from the past. That is why God calls Prophets and Apostles to teach the people His will concerning them NOW. Its great to remember that God saved our Father Noah from the flood by commanding him to build an ark, but that commandment is not going to save us now.

It is the bible in itself.
If the bible was perfect EVERYONE would be having only one interpretation. If the bible would have been an easy book, EVERYONE would have a simple, and clear explanation and in NO possible way there would be so much confusion. The bible is the problem.
When you read a scientific book, there are not thousands of different interpretation, everybody reaches the same conclusion.
The bible is a very imperfect book, written by poor ignorant sheep herders that tried to explain the world around them in a primitive way.

Because the Bible is a spiritual book meant to be spiritually interpreted by men and women filled with the Holy Spirit.

It is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword.

The Word of God can literally speak to you when you read, and mean different things to you at different times depending on your particular circumstances at the moment.

The problem is when the so-called Fundamentalist Christians try to interpret the Bible as some dry, legalistic text book. A set of rules and regulations, do's and dont's; thou shalls and thou shall nots - when that was never its intended purpose.

But again - only those filled with the Holy Spirit of God can interpret His word. Everyone else is purposely deceived from the truth by the Almighty Himself.

The Bible is a two edged sword, able to divide bone from sinew, and right from wrong.

Didn't you know about the hidden algebraic equation in the bible? Kinda like Da Vinci's Code.

When you come across it, you automatically divide by the square root of the closest verse.

Christians love to argue and pit their 'wits' against non-christians and other religions. When they can't do that, they start to attack themselves.... kinda like a trapped animal eating away at their foot to get free of the trap.

Christians like to 'debate' because that's the only way they can keep their religion 'alive'. They're afraid to stop and think cause they may actually come to realize that their religion is based on fallacy. They're afraid that their 'faith' will fail and that logic will prevail.

Let us pray, brethren.

it can`t be the Bible because the Bible says that believers must never be divided So it must be people who want to fit the the words of the Bible around their own beliefs instead of taking the Bible as the basis of their belief
