All major cruise lines, including Carnival, have a minimum age requirement. For some it's 21 - others, its 25.

Princess is the only cruise line I know that will allow guests to book at 18 years of age! They do not have a requirement that at least one guest be 21 years old.

However, you must be 21 years old to drink.

PS.

I just called Princess to make sure that I remembered correctly, and they re-confirmed that they will allow 18 year-olds on their own!

each line is different, but there is a general rule of 21+. If you have an person 18 and under traveling there must be a person over the age of 25 in the same cabin with them. This is true for Carnival, Holland America, Costa, Cunard. I am not sure about the other lines like Norwegian or Celebrity.
