My cousins cat is sick, he has a runny nose, yucky eye and can hardly breath through his nose. He wont eat or drink, and had a lil blood when he gagged up some medicine. He is also peeing where he lays. No vets are open, so does anyone know what is wrong????

emergency vet time, most of the time if you call the vets number they will have an answering service that will get you intouch with an on call vet or they will have a message telling you to call a certain number for an emergency.

Try to find an emergency vet clinic. Your cat is in serious trouble. He at least has an upper respiratory infection and maybe pneumonia. The "peeing where he lays" is a severe problem. You didn't say how old the cat is or what kind of medicine you were trying to give him. Those may be factors you should talk about.

Try holding his face over a bowl of water hot enough to steam, the steam may clear his nose some. Just don't hold him close enough to burn him. Use a warm wash cloth for his eye and call the vet and leave a message for them to call you back. They will probably have you bring him in right away.

It really doesn't matter what is wrong. What matters is that your cat is severly ill.

Why would you sit back and watch him decline?

As a responsible Pet owner (which your cousin doesn't seem to be) he should have been receiving medical treatment.

For right now put him in a small room and get a vaporizer going so he is breathing warm most air.

He will be lucky to survive.

What is wrong? Does it matter what virus exactly it is? He could have from a pulmonary or upper respiratory infection to FIV (AIDS). It is important to get to a vet immediately for treatment and blood tests.
