How long will the USA last as a "Police State" and Dictatorship?

A revolution would not work. If one wants change to be done in America, they would have to start a silent war and non violent of influence, entryism, and economics. Violence and open arms would only get you killed and work against such a cause instead of serving it.

Entryism is when you put on a show of supporting the organization you work for when in reality you work for another one and are trying to change it within towards your ends. Kinda like a democrat inflitrating the republican party and getting his friends in their, making a show and giving lip service to the republican ideals, when really taking it over in order to make it like the democratic party, only with different name.

A good example of this working is illegal immigration. Amenesty was almost granted because various groups were lobbing and giving gobs of money to our leaders in congress. The Mexican goverment is the biggest lobby group for the immigration reform. If a foriegn goverments can get our leaders dance to their tune through money and influence, such tactics should work with US citizens.

You may email me through my profile if you wish to hear more about such theories, althrough I doubt you will because you are not the first person to ask this question and not the first person I gave my reply to.

no, the vast majority of American citizens are happy and content. They do not suffer under a "police state or dictatorship". A civil war can only erupt when the vast majority have more to gain than lose by having one.

There is an overthrow of our government every 2 years in the the House of Reps, 1/3 of Senate every 2 years and every 4 years in the Presidency; they are called elections.

Yes there will be a 2nd American Revolution. When a small number of citizen get tired of the BS that we call our government and decide to act it will happen. All of the police and military will not be able to stop it in the beginning and it is likely that once it starts it wont be able to be stopped.

If the government moves to stop a revolution, it will be seen as a dictatorship or oppressive and feed more people to the cause.

If the police try to stop it, well there are just not enough of them to overcome the armed Americans that are out there.

And why do I think there will be one? Well just read 2 of the most influential documents that America has.

The declaration of independence......And I mean read it! Not just skim it.

The 2nd amendment to the constitution....why would our founding fathers have put that there if they did not expect our government to become tyrannical at some point........Read the Jefferson papers and you will understand it better.

It does not take an army to overthrow a government, just well placed and coordinated attacks. Simply read history, mainly the American Revolution and you will begin to see how easy it really is to start one and win one. As long as those fighting have the heart and are not afraid to die for what they believe.

Would you die for your beliefs?

Why should we want to over throw our Government, and the only civil war that might be in the future is when Americans get tired of that open south border and the Invasion from there. But American citizens can handle it, may even have to do it. I say, more power to them.

We can't overthrow this government.
The technologies available to law enforcement would quickly overwhelm the weaponry of average citizens.

That's why there is such an assault on the Second Amendment from BOTH sides of the aisle.

Revolutions are a thing of the past.

Perhaps, you need to go look up the definitions of the words you're using.

When you're done, take a trip to Iran, Syria, Korea and a tour of Africa to get a feel for what things mean. If you make it back, you won't be calling the US either of these things.

A move to reinstate conscription might do the trick. Or maybe a "High Level" terrorist threat just in time to "Temporarily Postpone" elections will push us over the edge. Interesting possibilities to think about.

No way. Americans are too fat and lazy to overthrow anything.
All they do is watch the price is right while eating Cheetos
