Yup, First day jitters since I was younger by a year.
First love because this cute nerdy guy (complete with glasses) known for his great singing voice was paying attention to me seeing my fright.
First time to be called shrimp by freshman girls.
First time to be defended by that cute nerdy guy saying "She maybe a shrimp in stature but she is prettier than the 3 of you combined."

Ending? No, he was too much of a nerd to pop the question. For him it was studies first. He was my bestfriend from 1982 until 1999. Sadly cancer took him away from me. Come to think of it, I haven't thought of him for quite some time. I think I'm gonna cry now...

Edit: Thanks Irmak, sometimes I do wonder how different my life be if he was still here.

i remember it. My lycee was also my middle school. After middle school there was a rumor that we won't be able to be at the same class with the ones of middle school.( siniflar karisacak dediler) we were all very said. talking about this whole summer. and then the first day we understood that it was just a rumor. so i remember being very happy when i heard that it was just a rumor.
It was a very good day. Only physics class sucked! I hated it.
But i really loved school times( not that i was a nerd :)))) but i liked the ambiance because since we were together since Prep. class we were like brothers and sisters and of course because of boys( ne yalan soyliyim simdi:)))

Yea I remember it, it was utterly boring. I don't remember talking to anyone very much I was too vain at that time. I thought all of them were mere idiots who didn't deserve a word or two from me-their highness :p My best friend often recalls the first time we met, she says I just studied her condescendingly from head to toe and sternly said I was "fine" then I continued reading my book :p Ah, those silly old days...

Advice: Never be arrogant in high school. (Not that you should be arrogant in some other place :p )

i will have 2 different first days in two different high schools. firt one was 3 years ago in my ex school. i remember it. we were all friends from 8 grade so we knew each other. it was just like another school day. we were trying to find out newcomers. one of the newcomers didn't know how to speak english well so we had hard time to understand her. but it was fun

now this year I'm back to Turkey i'm in grade 11 now in four year (till grade 12) system. i will start a new school and i will meet with my Turkish friends. it will be problemetic for me because they will have known each other for 3 years now and i will be the new comer (i know this story i guess :P ) and i will have some problems with turkish language and literature. that's why i started studying one month ago. but still new school, new language, new friends, new teachers. may god help me :)
and you will start a new school this year. first 3 months may be hard but after that when you form friendships it will be one of the best memories you will ever have i guess.

My high school was also my middle school. I was only 11 when I started Hazırlık. I remember the day quite clearly. A new, big city, far away from my parents, a stranger (a friend of my enişte) taking me to school when all the other kids had their parents by their side... excitement and worry, bravery and melancholy. It was not a very pleasant day. But children just get along.

Yep. I remember that I was actually not nervous of going to school that day. I didn't think much of it, and played it off as any normal day at school. Except, when I went to my study hall, it felt like a jail cell and I had nothing to study for (because it was the first day). I managed to doodle on my papers for almost an hour until I had to leave to go to my next class :-)

hmmmm it was ages ago :) I was 11 I think (orta I). The school was familiar because it was only 200m. from my primary school. Just an invisible line separated the gardens. So I knew most of my friends, except the ones who came from nearby villages. But I was excited. They gave me the smallest school no. available: No.6, because I came first in the entrance exam (yes we had entrance exam at that time). I remember my grey trousers, black shoes, white shirt, dark blue tie. It was a nice day.

Well

I sit the back seat of the class. A boy came and ask to sit near me and I said OK. 5 min later he ask me which school did you came from? I said '' thrown from the yükseliş collage . He was also failed at İst. Kabataş Erkek Lisesi :))
Than we asked next back seat where you from. He said ''I'm still here ( 2 years same class ).

These 2 man become my best friend and we had terrible memories at the high school.
