you provoke people to anger by telling them they'll go to hell if they don't do the same things you do, so what are you expecting?

by the way, you are not being persecuted, you are just reaping what you sow.

SlapJacks, either you're in denial or you have never been in the outside world for years.

D.A. S, would you rather have me ask, "why do 'born-again' people persecute people who don't believe the way they do?"

come to think of it, you're right! 'born-again' people are the ones persecuting others of different beliefs! very good, I have come to that realization!

It makes them feel important.

Their religions says that they have to "witness" to everyone in the world. It is very frustrating cause some of us don't want to hear it, or have heard it and laughed.

They have to blame their failures on someone, so they cry persecution whenever they don't get to run roughshod over people's rights. Also they are very exclusionary, so they like to pick on people who aren't in their club. If someone stands up for the little guy, they scream persucution.

Its sad that some immature new "christians" do that.
I say that the belief in God must be made between you and God, the christian perhaps a bit tryes to give a good message in the wrong way. I feel that the Bible holds many truths, or perhaps in fact the only truth if you have faith, if you think about it truth is something that ome must take into heart out side of truth every thing is a Theory. I don't belive in evilution, Its a funny theory though, I don't Believe in a good perscent of History. But I take some history into my mind as possiblitys for the lack of evidence.

Oh and back on subject. Christianity now adays across the world is the second most popular and the second most persecuted/hated religon. Islam comes in first as the most popular and the most hated.

I am a 'born-again-person' and I do not feel persecuted by you or anyone else. Why do you think I am? Where do you do your research?

If I provoke anger by telling the truth; then you are the one who is persecuted. I have dealt with my 'demons', have you?

The TRUTH is heaven or hell based on choices made. You choose because I can't do it for you.

Funny, Jesus had the same message about sinners and hell and look what they did to him.

Don't feel persecuted though I physically have been in the past this stuff is laughable most times. Why are all the unbelievers on this site so angry should be the real question.

I don't preach hellfire when I discuss my faith. Gospel means "Good News," after all, and hell is about as "bad news" as it comes.

Ironically, I personally don't feel persecuted for my faith, either. In fact, it has been my experience that most of the people of other faiths on this forum respect my impartiality in many discussions.

There may be more truth to your statement than some Christians realize.

well... i don't really feel like i'm persecuted, but then again, i don't tell people thery're going to hell if they don't believe like i do, nor do i feel like i'm reaping what i've sown. thank you for your concern. lol.

to tell the truth, preachy christians kept me away from christianity for the longest time, so i don't ''witness'' in that way. i tell people the good news if i'm asked. if i'm not asked, i don't tell.

i give you props for using Jesus' own words though. verbum Domini- always a good choice. have a good day.

*NOTE* it's true what Slap Jacks says. Perhaps you are the one who need to get out more?

The Christian version of born-again is highly watered down. You do know don't you that Jesus fully identified with the christ-spirit and never refered to himself as Jesus. But most christians that knew this were stoned to death by the 14th century. Buddha and Jesus take us on the same path but throught different means: There are parrelells of transformation using the holy spirit in the gospel of buddha. The buddha also shared his story of a prodigal son higher than himself- coincidence, I think not!

Study the lives of dozens and dozens if not hundreds of sages who are said to have resurrected before Jesus ever came along.
Unless you have achieved enlightenment (or true born-again) you will be counted among the living dead and are just as much a part of the problem...which means you will cease to exist b/c of your state of TRUE SPIRITUAL DEATH.

Gospel of Philip: "Those who say they will die first and then rise are in error. If they do not receive the resurrection while they live, when they die they will receive nothing.

I've never said to anyone that they'll go to hell. I tell people God loves them and heaven will be a beautiful place to spend eternity.

God does love you!

Have I ever told you you are going to hell? I have told many I bled for your right to choose freely.
I'm not getting what I sow, when I am asked an insulting question like this.
Which is not really a question but slander.
Which is a sin and if left untreated can lead to hell, not a statement of knowledge just a word of caution.

You have it wrong; people are not condemned to hell for "not doing the same things others do," as you say.

Salvation does not come from doing good deeds or living a "moral" life. It is available through accepting the free gift of eternal life by trusting in Jesus.

This explains why no one can earn their salvation:
