You are asking two questions.

First, yes on-duty cops have been arrested. No one is above the law. A Georgia Trooper was arrested several years ago by Cobb County Police when he pulled a woman over on a traffic stop and solicited her for sex in exchange for not writing her a ticket. The trooper told her to follow him to a more secluded location and while en route she called 911 on her cell phone (this was when cell phones were not quite so popular).

In Georgia, there are some additional requirements to go through in obtaining the arrest warrant for a peace officer who was acting in an official capacity. The arrest warrant must be signed by a Superior Court Judge as opposed to a Magistrate.

Second, I'm sure there have been on-duty officers shooting at one another. I'm sure it is mostly an accidental thing; but it is conceivable that it has happened intentionally. I can't give any examples but at some time, some where in the world it has probably happened.

Probably. There are lots of cops in the world, and there have been cops for many, many years. Something's bound to have gone wrong in all that time.

About 20 years ago, two Federal agencies were investigating a business in Los Angeles without knowing each other was there. They observed each other acting suspiciously, and before all was said and done they got into a gun battle with each other. I think one died and several were injured.

I wish I could recall more about this incident. I remember it happening when it did.

sure. while i became interior the academy, a neighboring city's detective have been given arrested for DUI on an analogous time as on accountability. he had some severe issues. and to the guy above me. none of those law enforcement officials have been arrested on an analogous time as ON accountability. they have been given arrested for stuff they did on accountability, yet they have been on suspension while arrested.
