Personally, I would want a beautiful woman. I would want her due to my own admiration, and for the production of physically attractive children, with good genetics. However, people say that it is a man just wanting to show her off like a crown. Not me at all. It's just only what I'm attracted to. Do average men want beautiful women for this reason? Is this common? I do not make up the majority of men by any means.

It is common among men who are usually considered to be unattractive or geeky. They want a beautiful woman to show off a a trophey so that it makes them look better. Almost as if saying look at what I have on my arm. When a man has a woman that is more attractive than him, it is his prize because often he is able to get attention from more classy people, and more overall exceptance, which is something that he would not have otherwise. You wanting a beautiful woman does not mean that you are looking for a trophy girl to show off, you just want someone who looks good. If you were looking for a beautiful woman to have a relationship with so it would help improve your social status, then you would be one who treated her like your trophy.

I think all men are a bit competitive, so if they have a hot girl they are going to parade her a bit at some point. I do not think that is the "norm" for older men though, maybe in high school and college to some degree it is prevalent, but I think that as most people get older and wiser they start to realize that other peoples opinions of their partner are not as important as their own.

Ofcourse you don't get a girl just because others think she's hot. But if you have a hot girlfriend / wife I would show her off. I mean, I wouldn't want people seeing her in skimpy clothes, but I'd want others to know I got to see her in skimpy clothes...

well if i hav a gf she is the ger i wan her to share my joy my down with her.
i will take it as she is mine and when she is mine i will think she is beautiful no matter wat. so i would surely bring her out to show to ppl cos she is mine and i owned it
but dun be too unreasonable with ur gf if she dun like it respect her decision.
