No.
Ephesians 5:23-31
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

Absolutely not. That's Islam, not Christianity.
Husbands are commanded to love their wives like Christ loves the church. Look at Admeta's answer where she quoted from Ephesians 5.
The Christian Bible also says, in Colossians 3:19:
"Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly."
You can search the Christian Bible for yourself:
http://www.biblegateway.com/
http://www.blueletterbible.org/
You can also search the Islamic religious texts:
http://www.carm.org/islam/search_quran.htm
http://www.carm.org/islam/search_hadith.htm
I've read the Bible all the way through in two different translations (so far), and I assure you that God does not tell men to beat their wives. At least according to Christianity; Islam is another story entirely.

OmG like if all catholics take the bible seriously and keep it handy so when they hit their wifes they say here look at it it says here that i can hit you.
R you kidding me. All of us know that hitting anyone for bad intentions is wrong, unless your a psycho,or like Raskolnokov.
The point here is that the bible doesnt just say that. IT says lots of things and i bet somewhere in the new testament it says something about treating others the way we would want to be treated.

Well, pretty much that I have been in most recent bible studies and even I have been attending churches and I haven't heard those kind of sentences like that before, so I think that it is not the right and good way to do that. Because even if it is a bad situation maybe we should let it go, because it is up to God to judge the people not us judging ourselves.

That would not surprise me that in one of the various translated versions, it says that men have the right to punish their wives. I would not take it too seriously not would I take anyone who takes the bible literally seriously. It is a good book, no pun intended, but it was written thousands of years ago and translated multiple times. Take the details with a grain of salt.

1. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness Lev.15:19- 24. The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
4. Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?
5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?
7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?
9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same fie ld, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? -Lev.24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)?

Yes, and it is in the quran too.
Both books have that.
Quran (4:34) orders a man to beat his wife if she doesn't obey him!
Quran 4:34: Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in their sleeping places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great.

You'd be amazed at some of the stuff in the bible if you actually read all of it, not just what your pastor tells you to.
I think this site will point you in the right direction.
http://www.evilbible.com/
Make sure you have your bible handy, to read along.

No, that's the quran.
The bible only tells us how hard to beat our slaves (male and female).
Of course, women are not treated very well at all in the bible...
