Here is the deal, you just have to reply
It must be a rhyme, words alone will not fly!

I’m sitting here, it’s just about one
Its time for bed, but sleeping’s no fun

In Colorado right now, it’s so cold yet so pretty
I live in place, just outside of the city

The view is so great, just mountains and trees
The cold weather will pass, replaced by flowers and bees

What is so special, about where you live now?
Just respond with a rhyme, I don’t care how.

Maybe it’s cold, or hot dry and sunny
Describe it to me, and try to be funny!

Here’s am example, of how to be witty
Lets say you live alone, in a big city

“…One night I was thinking, I love this place so much
Everything’s so close, shops malls food and such

But one day I noticed, I didn’t love it at all
My cat was on the window, and had great fall

Instead of helping poor fluffy, my wonderful cat
People just yelled at me, cursed and they spat

He is fine now, with a small broken foot
Now the window is shut, so he will stay put

Only in New York, will somebody be mad
At something so tragic, upsetting and sad

I have just described, the place that I live
The place where I grew up, since I was a kid

I realize now, that it is not very pretty
Its sad place to live, here in New York City!”

Your turn!

I don't know how to answer, but I know it must rhyme.
Your question is long, how did you find time?

I have never written a poem, at least that well
In fact I know this one sounds like hell

But if you find it amusing, you might feel inclined
to give me 10 points, I believe they are mine.

I figured I'd try to give this a shot
The place I dwell, right now is not hot

The Sun doesn't shine from 8 to 7
Yet the noise from the neighbors don't quit til 11

House was built in 1925,
No $$ for improvements, so, I cry

Crickets in Basement, make em go away!
Guess they're looking for a warm place to stay

Buy a new House? Oh my---dear NO!
Selling this one would take 100 snows

The economy sucks, unemployment is high
Down a DIRT road, yet cars still fly by!

Gas prices crazy, too high for me--
But still I fill up, to help the economy!

Our college football team used to be GREAT
But lost first game to Appalachian State!?!!!

The Lions are doing OK this year,
Though the 1 game we won is the last I fear

Lions and Tigers and Pistons; a FAN!
Hail Hail oh Michigan!

Where I live now is not too far
From my parents house when driving by car.

I've lived in Orange County 29 years,
and I've never drank several beers.

My rhyming is a little off right now,
and as I'm typing I'm raising my brow.

I'm usually quite clever when I rhyme,
but I haven't done this for a very long time.

I hope you like my silly attempt,
and don't hold me in contempt.

California is the place for me,
with all of it's wonderful places to see.

Even with the traffic and smog,
Nothing beats the ocean fog.

I like going to three malls in one short trip,
and being a trendsetter wearing what's hip.

I am going to stop typing now and go to bed,
since my rhyming is poor and before I lose my head.

Thank you and good night,
for giving me a reason to write.

the place where i live is rainy
a place, they say, is 'for the truly brainy'

i hate it here, but i love it too,
for, if i were anywhere else, i wouldn't know what to do.

surrounded by the tropics, green leaves all around
you can get lost sometimes, but you'll soon be found.

the people here are super friendly,
to them, open midedness comes naturally.

i've lived here all my life,
gotten into a lot of strife.

the cops wouldn't leave me alone when i was a teen,
they kept track of everywhere i'd been.

its easy to do that in a small town like mine you see,
which is wha makes it a safe place to be (cough cough)

a place described as 'nothing but the best'
if you can guess where it is, you can be my guest!

ps- try and guess where i am

pps- it can be really hot and sunny sometime too, it's not ALWAYS rainy!

cheers!!
