Exactly tell me what it is that would make you believe?

Yes I know the bible is not enough proof for you, and please don't say proof. That is the whole point of the question. The person that said something about God himself making a human and so on, is what I am looking for.

This is an easy one...

Have god present him/her/itself. Then, create a fully formed human male, from only dust and word. Submit this man to a full battery of medical examinations (one of the most telling points that this man was made by divine hands would be the distinctive lack of a navel and DNA).

Once this testing is done, have this being remove a rib from the created man, and create a fully functional woman; who would then be subjected to the exact same tests.

Once these tests have been verified by multiple independent scientific sources, then I would believe...not before.

There is just one great big problem. Belief does not need proof. Atheists (no apostrophe) and other "non-believers" believe in a different set of parameters that comprise proof than do "believers".

I find that any reasonable discussion about beliefs can only happen if the basis for evaluation is common. Thus nothing good can ever come out of any discussion between a person who believes in God and one who doesn't.

I personally believe that God "can" "exist", but that is because I cannot find, in my system of evaluation (science), anything that either proves or disproves such an "existence".

However I haven't been able to convince myself of any reason that religion should exist. God "existing" is outside of human control (by definition), but religion is completely man-made. In a time when so many previously unexplained things can be explained by a set of rules that have such restrictive and few axioms, I see no reason why time should be wasted on something as imaginative, arbitrary and destructive as religion.

Any real proof. Pointing to the Bible is hardly proof.

Don't want or need proof for anything, I'm happy within and thats what matters to me, if God did it for me then I'd believe, but the idea of God doesn't do it for me, once your on the path to self knowledge theres no turning back

I copied it from one of my questions you see. I know its not perfect, me and Print ninja are working on it. to summarize it, I am stating my reasons for believing that something out of the context of the universe caused big bang

According to the law of thermodynamics, a spontaneous reaction in a closed space would increase the amount of entropy in that space. From this, we can imply that the amount of energy AVAILABLE TO DO WORK, is decreased due to increase in thermal energy. Therefore, the beginning of the universe had to have been at a definite time and place. that's not it, dont start yelling yet. As we all know, molecules react in a way that allows them to reach homeostasis. From that we can imply that the big bang occured because the molecules (actually, matter would be a more accurate discription) seeked homeostasis. But what caused the matter to be in such an unstable state in the first place?please, i just thought of this, i know its not perfect, I just want your imput. Please no sarcasm, I am a free thinker and if you have enough logic, I will believe you.TY

i also wanted to add in the fact that numbers are only representations for values, not considered themselves a value, therefore, the fact that we can prove that we are within a certain place and time by means of using numerals, it is because the numerals represent certain places on the timeline or whatever you call it. It would not be possible to represent a certain point on something besides points if it were infinite, just wanted to post this to back up my 2nd premise.

wow, no answers yet. usually, when i ask a question about religion and dont reference science, i get sarcastic answers from all the atheist peeps. perhaps we can get some well thought out answers here besides the usual song and dance "CHRistians are all idiots, bible is stupid, etc etc."
cheers

i do get it, homeland security. from my thoughts, i believe that faith is based on reason, reason is influenced by faith, which is like a circle. just because you dont NEED to prove God exists, doesn't mean you cant. its not illegal to think, is it

yes, you ignore everything but the last part. does the truth hurt? science is a double edged sword my friend. as i said on top, this is to explain an ANTHROPOMORPHIC version of God.
perhaps you missed a science class as well as an english class

print ninja, i stated my evidence for why the universe was created AT A CERTAIN POINT IN TIME, i did not say spontaneously. there also remains the fact that endless also stretches both directions of the time line, meaning that if we assume the law of thermodynamics as true, we wouldnt be here today seeing as how heat would have reached equilibrium and would most likely not have enough variant to support life. i believe you are biased just because it supports the view of god.

You people are mad enough to get you out of this state of mind and make u ppl believe that jesus was just a nice human being.
Truth will always triumph..
so u need not bother to make others believe in what u proclaim to be true.
